Month 8: I am getting more Royally Fit!

No makeup and I hadn’t yet brushed my hair. This is the real approach!!

No shakes,  no dieting, no gimmicks, just a real approach. Royally Fit sends me workouts three times a week. I do them all, plus a pilates session and occasionally a bonus workout or a targeted mini workout for something like arms or abs.  I like to do some sort of activity 5 days a week. I work out for no more than 30 minutes each session and in the comfort of my own home.

This brings me to where I am now. Month 8. I’m pretty damn proud of myself. Not because I haven’t missed one workout that has been posted since I started (I don’t necessarily do them on the days they are posted but I have done EVERY workout sent in the last 8 months!) but because I’ve made time for something so important these last 8 months with a no excuses attitude – ME!

I am important. I deserve to be healthy and happy and it really doesn’t cost me all that much time. I don’t always feel excited to turn on the video and do jump squats, but once I do I feel like a million bucks. I’m investing in not only me, but my family, my friends, everything in my circle that would benefit from a happier, healthier me. I’m securing my own smile when I look in the mirror as I self medicate with exercise.

This month I felt big changes around my tummy, thighs and hips. Baby steps in my problem areas. We can’t target or spot reduce but finally my hard work is reaching these areas. It might not show by just a picture, but I can feel and see differences as they tone. We are still a while away from a scale and measurement check in (not until one year!) so we will just have to go by how I feel and visually with the pictures below. The pounds do not matter. The inches do not matter. Numbers do not define me and they never will. I have had and will have further struggles, bumps do come up in this journey, I might need to carry a workout into the next week to complete, but I am in this for the long haul.

Month 8

This month I made big progress with water! This is a goal that I didn’t reach in the last 7 months. I also took steps outside of working out to make myself a little healthier by discontinuing chemical use in terms of deodorant.

It was a good month. I had a few lunches out, take out with my family on a few occasions,  a couple of birthday parties… life is about moderation. I’m real. I like food. I am human. I’m going to keep doing this thing honestly to reward myself and to show you (and me!) how it doesn’t take much to keep this progress moving and this smile on my face.

I’ll check in next for month 9! My previous months reports and progress can be found here:
