What is on tap? Water!

I’ve been talking for months…. month 1, month 2, month 3, month 4, month 5, month 6, month 7……. on how I needed to get on the water drinking bandwagon. I knew it was good for me, I knew it would make me feel better, but I just couldn’t get myself to remember to drink and I wasn’t 20160104_073548thirsty. That, and I really enjoyed my tea, at any time! Granted it is herbal tea 95% of the time, and decaffeinated herbal tea 50% of the time, but… I still needed to drink more water. A couple weeks ago I knew I needed to suck up the 100 trips to the bathroom that always occur when you try to drink a lot and really get started. To help I installed a drink water app! It sends reminders to my phone to ask if me if I have had water yet and to remind me to drink. You can log the amount of water you consumed against your daily water goal. I set my goal to 2 litres every day (turns out the experts in the science world say we need 2 litres a day for our bodies to function optimally – that is your 8 glasses!).

What seemed impossible just 3 weeks ago is now a new normal. To date I am drinking 137% on average of my goal each day!  My first goal was to make it through day one. The next goal was seven days. The third goal was 2 weeks straight. Now I am here and I definitely feel good this month. It is a combination of the healthy changes. Working out with Royally Fit, ditching the chemical pitsticks, eating within moderation and definitely the water. I’ll be posting my lifestyle change month 8 results this weekend, and until then I will be here continuing to drink myself a little healthier each day! I’m pretty proud of myself. You definitely feel like a superstar when you make your goals, no matter how big or small they might be. Water might be an easy goal for some, but it is a big hurdle I have been meaning to get to for months!
