Geocaching is all the rage these days – and why wouldn’t it be?! It is a family treasure hunt type of activity that doesn’t need to cost a thing and can be applicable to all ages! There are “treasures” to be found everywhere! Of course as you get more involved you can spend a few dollars (gas to travel to new places, trinkets to trade, materials to create your own cache) but it is one of the most affordable family activities out there! It also gets your family outdoors and is time well spent together! We have geocached a few times ourselves and we wrote about one of those experiences here. This post also gives more details about what geocaching is if you still aren’t sure what we are talking about!
For our May playdate we have teamed up with Ratherbecaching.ca to bring a family activity and information session about everything geocaching. We will have experts on hand to answer all your questions, including how to get started. There is no cost to this session and we will even find some local geocaches! If you are interested in registering, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with the number of people in your family who will be attending. We will respond with all the other details you need!
When: Saturday, May 14, 2016 @ 10 am, rain or shine! Dress appropriately!
Where: Lakeview Park, Oshawa
